General medical disclosure

The content on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as, and does not constitute, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. The information on this site is not a substitute for the medical judgment of a licensed physician evaluating you in person.

No physician-patient relationship

Submitting a contact form, browsing this website, reading our editorial content, or signing up for any communications does not create a physician-patient relationship. A physician-patient relationship at IHS Wellness is established only after a private consultation, intake review, and acceptance of services in writing.

FDA and compounded medications

The statements on this website have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Products, peptides, hormones, and protocols described on this website are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

IHS Wellness may prescribe and arrange the fulfillment of compounded medications (including compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide) through U.S.-licensed compounding pharmacy partners. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved drugs. They are prepared by licensed pharmacies under section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for individual patients with a valid prescription and clinical need. Patients receive additional disclosures about compounded medications during the intake and prescription process.

Brand-name medications

Brand-name medications referenced on this site (including Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound) are FDA-approved products manufactured by their respective manufacturers and prescribed only for FDA-approved indications when clinically appropriate.

Off-label use

Some therapies described on this site may be prescribed off-label — meaning for an indication other than the one for which they were originally FDA-approved. Off-label prescribing is a long-standing and legal practice in U.S. medicine. Your physician will discuss any off-label use with you during consultation.

Individual results vary

Outcomes described on this site — including weight loss numbers, symptom changes, and lab improvements — are illustrative of typical patient trajectories. Individual results vary based on biology, adherence, starting baseline, and many other factors. No specific outcome is guaranteed.

Emergency disclaimer

IHS Wellness is not an emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 911 (or your local emergency number) or go to the nearest emergency room.

Patient responsibility

You should always discuss any medical decisions with your primary care physician and any specialists currently treating you. You should disclose all medications, supplements, and treatments you are currently taking to the IHS medical team during intake.
